| Westmoreland Heritage Trail Saltsburg Trailhead access and parking lot 40°28’54.2″N 79°26’51.8″W **There is no address for the actual area we are leaving from – above coordinates will take you to the parking lot for the entrance to the trail. There is a children’s playground at the start of the trail near the parking lot. • Directions from Pittsburgh: Travel on US 22 to its intersection with SR 819 in New Alexandria. Go north on SR 981 about 8 miles to SR 286. Turn right onto SR 286 and cross the bridge over the Kiskiminetas River. After 0.2 miles, turn right at the “T” onto Salt Street. Follow Salt St. then Canal St. for 0.4 miles, and then turn right to the trail juncture with the West Penn Trail, parking near the playground. |
