| Brief Trail Description | |
| Bathroom and water available. 10 mile hike is an out & back, return by the same route. There is only about a 100 foot elevation change on the whole route. Spectacular scenery as you walk amongst the preserve. The Ellwood Mesa trail system is a series of unimproved dirt trails and old roads which were formed from residents (and oil companies) exploring the area. They traverse environmentally sensitive habitats and provide beach access via eroded canyons in the Ellwood Mesa. | |
