| From I-25 to S. Spruce Mountain Rd in Douglas County. Take Exit 173. Follow S. Spruce Mountain Rd to W. Plum Creek Ave.

| Brief Trail Description | |
| 8.0-mile out-and-back trail near Larkspur, Colorado on a wide trail with few users. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 2 h 37 min to complete. This hike is near Greenland dog park for a bit of play after the hike.
The hike can be partnered with either the Thanksgiving Staunton State Park Hike on 11/23/23 or Black Forest Section 16 on 11/25/23 for a 8 mile back to back pack hike leg. This hike can also be used for a 10 mile pack hike leg, an additional 2 miles can be added on if requested. Please RSVP and specify if doing a 10 mile leg, meet at 8:30 hiking by 9:00. |
