| Jedediah Smith Wilderness Trail- We will meet up at 2620 E 5000 N, Tetonia. Please come down the driveway slowly. I’m the last place at the dead end. We will caravan to the trailhead. I will email everyone who will be attending with directions to my place. The trailhead leaves from the parking lot off the road and heads west. The hike is in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest, near Alta, Wyoming the end of Teton Canyon Rd, start in Teton Canyon Campground. |

| Brief Trail Description | |
| At the end of Teton Canyon Rd, start in Teton Canyon Campground. Walk around the entire campground over to the Teton Canyon Trailhead. Take the Alaska Basin Trail, along the South Fork Teton Creek. Hike past junction of Devil’s Staircase Trail and continue to the 4 miles turnaround point at GPS location. Take the Alaska Basin Trail, along the South Fork Teton Creek. Hike past junction of Devil’s Staircase Trail and continue to the 4 mile turnaround point at GPS location. It is a fairly up hill hike on a hard packed dirt trail. Elevation gain is 900 ft. We go back for a 8 mile pack hike leg. | |
