This hike will begin at 9:00 am both days starting at the Main Park Office. If there is interest in a day hike\, we can add 1-mile up and back on the Fox Squirrel Loop. \nLocated in Union County south of Charlotte and close to the South Carolina border\, Cane Creek Park is a 1\,050-acre\, family-friendly recreation area centered around a 350-acre lake\, offering a scenic setting for outdoor activities and relaxation year-round. The park also features picnic areas\, shelters and event spaces\, as well as multiple camping options. The trails are easy to moderate with < 300 ft of elevation gain. There are lake views on a significant portion of the trail. The trails are well-marked\, well-maintained packed dirt. I have selected a route that is safe\, with beautiful views\, moderate elevation change\, and plenty of opportunities for rest periods.
