This is the best I can find\, the three red flag spots show the loop and if you zoom you’ll see there is a road that goes along the perimeter so access if somewhere to get injured: https://www.oregonhikers.org/maps/load.php?lat=45.6304&lon=-121.9792\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBrief Trail Description\n\n\n\nTrails lead from North Bonneville around Hamilton Island\, which was noted as “Strawberry Island” in the journals of Lewis and Clark\, who remarked upon the abundance of strawberry runners they saw here. The current name remembers Samuel M. Hamilton\, who took out a Land Claim here in 1850 and had a mountain\, a creek\, and an island named after him (The” island” is now connected to the mainland). This hike is notable for its views to closeby features in the Washington Gorge\, such as Beacon Rock\, Hamilton Mountain\, and Table Mountain\, as well as some unique views across to the the Oregon side\, taking in Munra Point directly across and some waterfalls not normally seen except from the Washington side of the river. Cottonwoods fringe part of the island shore\, while the interior is mostly a grassy expanse. In the late summer and early fall\, low river levels allow adventurous hikers to cross to Ives Island\, west of Hamilton Island\, and locate the remains of old fishwheels as well as make a much closer approach to Beacon Rock (See the Ives Island Add-on Hike). Also\, a trail leads from the east end of the island to join the short walking circuit around the Fort Cascades site.\n\n\nHike Coordinator Name\n\n\n\nBonnie Huett\n\n\nHike Coordinator Phone\n\n\n\n(360) 909-4469\n\n\nHike Coordinator Email\n\n\n\ntroutcreekgsmd@gmail.com\n\n\nEvent fee\n\n\n\n$10 for those hiking towards title\n\n\nNet revenues will go to:\n\n\n\nCascade Club GSMD Club\n\n\nType of Hike\n\n\n\n8 miles/day – must complete both days – back to back hikes\n\n\nEmergency Vet Clinic (verify availability before submitting this application)\n\n\n\nNorthwest Vet Specialist\, 16756 SE 82nd Dr\, Clackamas\, OR 97015\n\n\nClosest Hospital or Emergency Service\n\n\n\nAdventist Health Portland\, 10123 SE Market St\, Portland\, OR 97216\n\n\nWill First Aid kit be available on the hike?\n\n\n\nYes\n\n\nHow will hike mileage be verified?\n\n\n\nPrior Hike\n\n\nWill scale be available at start of hike for weighing dogs?\n\n\n\nNo (if no\, dog’s weight must be provided by vet clinic documentation within 7 days of hike)

FOR THOSE WANTING 10 MILE 1 DA==> Green Trail (1.8 miles): The Green Trail is entirely north of Wolf Lake. A boardwalk between two small ponds is at the start of the trail\, a good place to look for waterfowl. SUMMARY:Southbound - Keygan Memorial Hitchcock Woods Hike
DESCRIPTION:Date(s) of Proposed Pack Hike\n\n\n \nFebruary 22-23\, 2020\n\n\nEvent Name\n\n\n \nKeygan Memorial Hitchcock Woods Hike\n\n\nSponsoring Club\n\n\n \nSouthbound GSMD Club\n\n\nHike Location/Address/Directions/Map\n\n\n \nHitchcock Woods\n1717 Dibble Rd SW\nAiken\, SC\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBrief Trail Description\n\n\n \nThe hike on day one will begin with a three-mile dirt road tour of Aiken’s Historic Horse District; the remainder of the hike will be in Hitchcock Woods adjacent to the horse district. This hike will start at the Coker Springs entrance at 10:30 am. The hike on day two will be on a different set of trails in Hitchcock Woods. This hike will begin at 8:00 am from my residence\, which is across from one of the entrances to the woods. \nThe Historic Horse District in Aiken consists of dirt roads leading to a number of training stables\, a horse race track and polo field. Hitchcock Woods is a 2\,000-acre urban forest that contains over 65 miles of trails. Living on the perimeter of these woods\, I have been able to select a route that is safe\, attractive\, diverse in elevation and width\, and provides rest points every 2 miles. All trails are natural sandy terrain\, ranging from flat dirt roads to narrow hilly trails.\n\n\nHike Coordinator Name\n\n\n \nMelissa Jarriel\n\n\nHike Coordinator Phone\n\n\n \n(803) 645-5570\n\n\nHike Coordinator Email\n\n\n \nmhjarriel@yahoo.com\n\n\nEvent fee\n\n\n \n$15.00\n\n\nNet revenues will go to:\n\n\n \nSouthbound GSMD Club\n\n\nType of Hike\n\n\n \n8 Mile back-to-back – 2 Day (16 miles total)\n\n\nEmergency Vet Clinic (verify availability before submitting this application)\n\n\n \nSt. Francis Animal Hospital\n2647 Perimeter Parkway\nAugusta\, Georgia\, 30909\n\nPhone: 706-860-6617\n\n\nClosest Hospital or Emergency Service\n\n\n \nAiken Regional Medical Centers\n\n\nWill First Aid kit be available on the hike?\n\n\n \nYes\n\n\nHow will hike mileage be verified?\n\n\n \nPrior Hike\n\n\nIf ‘Prior Hike’ chosen above\, please give the name and date of prior hike:\n\n\n \nKeygan Memorial Hitchcock Hike 2013\, 2014\, 2015\, 2016\, 2017\, 2018\, 2019\n\n\nWill scale be available at start of hike for weighing dogs?\n\n\n \nYes

SUMMARY:Cascade GSMDC - Williapa Hills Pack Hike
DESCRIPTION:Date(s) of Proposed Pack Hike\n\n\n \n12/21/2019\n\n\nEvent Name\n\n\n \nWilliapa Hills 10 Mile Pack Hike\n\n\nSponsoring Club\n\n\n \nCascade Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Club\n\n\nHike Location/Address/Directions/Map\n\n\n \nWillapa Hills Trail \nAdna Trailhead (5 miles from I-5):\nFrom I-5\, take exit 77 and turn west onto Highway 6\, continuing for 4.3 miles. Make a right on Bunker Creek Road\, and then another right on Dieckman Road. Parking lot and facilities are on the left. \nMap: http://www.lewiscountytrails.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=section&layout=blog&id=5&Itemid=4\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBrief Trail Description\n\n\n \nHike description on website: \nnce a railroad\, this trail allows visitors to travel between the towns of Chehalis and South Bend without having to drive! This makes an excellent outing\, whether you want a quick jaunt or a longer bike ride\, though the trail is in varying stages of development\, so be sure you are prepared for pavement\, gravel\, or possibly dirt\, depending on your route. \nAccess is available for hikers\, runners\, and bikers from the Pe Ell entrance\, in Chehalis\, or off Dieckman Road\, Ceres Hill\, or Meskill Road\, all near Adna. You can also hop on the trail from Rainbow Falls State Park\, where you can ride or walk a short distance from the park’s entrance to the trail itself. \nFind the paved section between Chehalis and Bunker Creek. This 5.5 mile stretch sees the most traffic of this trail. From there\, the trail becomes graveled\, perfect for bicycles with thick tires. \nAs you walk\, keep an eye out for equestrians. In addition to hikers and bikers\, horses enjoy this trail from the Adna trailhead\, found off Dieckman Road. Equestrians can also access the trail from Pe Ell; a Discover Pass is required for both of these trailheads. \nThough the trail runs 56 miles from Chehalis to South Bend\, currently it can only be hiked in sections due to its incomplete nature. Several trestle bridges are closed due to a lack of decking\, making them unsafe for travelers. Check out a helpful map of mileposts\, closures\, and notable sights along the way here: bit.ly/1RDKfLG \nAnother map illustrating which sections are best for hiking can be found here: bit.ly/1JpPqfU \nAs of December 2015\, trestles at Spooner Road and Doty-Dryad Road have opened. This connects more than 12 miles of trail from Spooner Road west of Adna to Pe Ell. \nIn June 2016\, three more bridges have opened. While the bridge at mile 27 is still difficult to cross\, this recent development allows visitors to enjoy an unbroken 27 miles of gravel\, paved\, and hard-packed dirt road.\n\n\nHike Coordinator Name\n\n\n \nAllison Allen\n\n\nHike Coordinator Phone\n\n\n \n(503) 858-5756\n\n\nHike Coordinator Email\n\n\n \nallikat81@gmail.com\n\n\nEvent fee\n\n\n \n$10 for those hiking towards title\n\n\nNet revenues will go to:\n\n\n \nCascade Club GSMD Club\n\n\nType of Hike\n\n\n \n10 Mile – 1 Day\n\n\nEmergency Vet Clinic (verify availability before submitting this application)\n\n\n \nChehalis-Centralia Veterinary\n1214 NW STATE AVE\nCHEHALIS\, WA 98532 1831\nPhone: (360) 748-6622\n\n\nClosest Hospital or Emergency Service\n\n\n \nProvidence Centralia Hospital\n914 S Scheuber Rd\nCentralia\, WA 98531\n\n\nWill First Aid kit be available on the hike?\n\n\n \nYes\n\n\nHow will hike mileage be verified?\n\n\n \nPedometer\n\n\nWill scale be available at start of hike for weighing dogs?\n\n\n \nNo (if no\, dog’s weight must be provided by vet clinic documentation within 7 days of hike)

SUMMARY:Cascade GSMDC - Pack Hikes
DESCRIPTION:Date(s) of Proposed Pack Hike\n\n\n \n11/23-24/2019\n\n\nEvent Name\n\n\n \nStrawberry Island Back-to-Back Pack Hikes\n\n\nSponsoring Club\n\n\n \nCascade Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Club\n\n\nHike Location/Address/Directions/Map\n\n\n \nStrawberry Island in North Bonneville\, WA\nDrive I-84 east to Exit 44 for Cascade Locks and Stevenson. \nAfter 0.4 miles\, bear right for the Bridge of the Gods ($2 toll) and Stevenson. \nDriving over the bridge for 0.7 miles\, make a left at the junction with Highway 14W for North Bonneville and Vancouver. \nDrive 4.2 miles and turn left onto Bonneville Drive for the town of North Bonneville. \nGo 0.1 miles to a junction and bear right onto W. Cascade Drive. \nProceed 0.4 miles and make a left turn onto Portage Drive. \nIt’s 0.2 miles to the trailhead parking area behind a baseball diamond. \nI can’t find a great trail map\, but this is somewhere go a lot. This is the best I can find\, the three red flag spots show the loop and if you zoom you’ll see there is a road that goes along the perimeter so access if somewhere to get injured: https://www.oregonhikers.org/maps/load.php?lat=45.6304&lon=-121.9792\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBrief Trail Description\n\n\n \nTrails lead from North Bonneville around Hamilton Island\, which was noted as “Strawberry Island” in the journals of Lewis and Clark\, who remarked upon the abundance of strawberry runners they saw here. Also\, a trail leads from the east end of the island to join the short walking circuit around the Fort Cascades site.\n\n\nHike Coordinator Name\n\n\n \nBruce Detore\n\n\nHike Coordinator Phone\n\n\n \n(206) 931-8539\n\n\nHike Coordinator Email\n\n\n \ncascadeswissyclub@gmail.com\n\n\nEvent fee\n\n\n \n10\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nType of Hike\n\n\n \n8 Mile back-to-back – 2 Day (16 miles total)
