This form is only to be used for Friend of the Swissy nominations.

Method of Selection

  • Nominations will be collected on an ongoing basis throughout the year and may be submitted through gsmdca.org or by email to boardgsmdca@gmail.com
  • As nominations are received they will be posted on the GSMDCA Facebook page. All nominations received will be compiled and become the final considered candidates for the Friend of the Swissy Award.
  • Nominations will be considered on calendar year basis. Any volunteer work done in the current calendar year will be rolled over to next year’s nomination pool.

Friend of the Swissy Award Nomination Form

Friend of the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog: - To be awarded to the GSMDCA member who has demonstrated extraordinary dedication and altruism contributing to the welfare of the GSMD (in the United States). By way of example and not by way of limitation, consideration should be given to involvement and contribution on behalf of breed education, mentorship, rescue, health, and similar efforts for the benefit of the breed and its owners.

Nomination - please provide a thorough nomination on why you believe this candidate meets the qualifications for Friend of the Swissy. Nominations should be roughly a page in length.
